As I was wanting my piece to be similar to that of Muto, I wanted to use unusual sounds for some of the actions. Muto has just a simple beat paying in the background with with crunching and sounds that just sometimes don’t go with what the animation is showing the viewer. I think this is to make the viewer feel uneasy by what they are watching and just to emphasize how weird and crazy his creations are.
I have used sound samples from reason and using a midi keyboard played various notes along with the movements of the creature/spaceship. I have used piano sounds for the spider moving which gets eaten by the creature and appagio sounds for the flying spaceship, this all together makes the experience of the piece unusal/different which is the desired effect.
